Argus Answering ("we," "us") provides 24/7 call answering and dispatch services for home-service businesses. This policy describes what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
Information we collect
- Call data: when you call a phone line answered by our service, we collect the phone number you call from, call recordings, transcripts, and the details you provide during the call (such as your name, callback number, service address, and description of your service request). Calls are recorded and transcribed for quality and training, and callers are notified at the start of each call.
- Text messaging data: phone numbers and message content for SMS notifications you have consented to receive.
- Client account data: business contact information, billing details, and service preferences for the businesses that subscribe to our service.
How we use information
- To answer calls, capture service requests, and relay them to the appropriate home-service business and its on-call personnel.
- To send appointment confirmations, service updates, and emergency dispatch alerts by SMS to people who have opted in.
- To provide reporting to the subscribing business, improve service quality, and meet legal obligations.
Text messaging and consent
SMS consent is collected verbally during recorded phone calls or from business owners during account signup. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties.
Sharing
We share call and service-request details only with the home-service business you contacted and its personnel, with service providers who operate our platform (telephony, hosting, payment processing) under confidentiality obligations, and where required by law. We do not sell personal information.
Retention and security
Call recordings, transcripts, and message logs are retained only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal obligations, and are protected by access controls and encryption in transit.
Your choices
