Terms & Conditions

Effective date: July 4, 2026

Service

Argus Answering provides 24/7 call answering, intake, and dispatch-notification services for home-service businesses. We capture caller information and relay it to the subscribing business. We are an answering and notification service: we are not an emergency service, and we do not guarantee response times, appointment times, or pricing on behalf of any business. If you are experiencing a life-threatening emergency or hazard (such as a gas leak, fire, or electrical hazard), call 911 or your utility provider immediately.

SMS Messaging Program: Argus Answering Notifications

The Argus Answering Notifications program sends appointment confirmations, service updates, and emergency dispatch alerts by SMS to business owners and to customers who have consented to receive them.

Call recording

Calls handled by our service may be recorded and transcribed for quality, training, and accurate message-taking. Callers are notified at the beginning of each call.

Acceptable use and liability

Our service relays information in good faith but depends on telephone networks, carriers, and third-party platforms we do not control. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Argus Answering's liability for any claim arising from the service is limited to the fees paid for the service in the month the claim arose. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including missed calls or messages caused by carrier or network failures.

Privacy

Our Privacy Policy describes how we collect and use information, including SMS consent data.
